Fairyland: Cover Reveal & Giveaway
Thanks to Missie for letting me do the cover reveal for Fairyland, the fourth book in the Songs of Magic series, on her blog today. Hooray, Missie!
The cover is by Phatpuppy Art, and the typography was done by Bookish Brunette.

The series follows a teenage garage band from Wisconsin who steal some instruments from the fairy world and become rock stars with their enchanted sound…but they’re now enemies of Queen Mab, who will stop at nothing to recover the magic stolen from Fae. She will even stoop to sending evil unicorns and teddy bears to hunt down the band. In addition, the series also follows the troupe of fairy musicians whose instruments were stolen, and their misadventures in trying to steal them back.
For the cover reveal, I thought it would be good to do a quick write-up explaining who the character featured on this new cover is. However, I realized the description was full of spoilers, and there’s no good way to describe her without actually spoilers. So, I carefully “x”ed out all the spoilers, and it’s now safe for you to read! Here it goes:
The cover of Fairyland depicts ********, the sister of *****. She’s nine centuries old, which makes her a “young adult” in fairy terms. About a century ago, she **** *** **** ** ****** *** *** **** ** ***-*****. She was exposed to early blues and jazz in New Orleans, and later followed the explosion of rock and roll music around the world. She’s rumored to have dated Jim Morrison, Jimmy Page, and ***** ******, among others. In the twenty-first century, she’s decided to pursue a singing career herself, under the name ******* *********. Her enchanted fairy voice, trained by decades at a conservatory in Faerie, has brought her tremendous international success in the human world, but still she ***** ** *** *** ****** *****. Everything changes when ***** ******* **** **** ***-*****!
I hope that makes things clear!

To celebrate this new cover and the soon-to-happen release of Fairyland later this month, we’re doing a flash giveaway today—the first ten comments will win an ebook copy of Fairy Metal Thunder, the first book in the series! Epub, mobi, and PDF are available, just be sure to leave an email address or Twitter ID in your comment if you’d like to win a copy.

OMG, I know exactly who she is!! Both who she is!!! What a wicked surprise!! I did not see that coming at all. I knew the one was coming eventually but not who she really was. Wow! You really know how to tie things in knots! Now I’m very curious to see how you untie them because there are certainly a lot of them!
Have I said before that these covers are awesome. They Rock! And I love the series! Absolutely any age would love it!!

It’s such a beautiful cover and Ashley did a great job with the font. I’m so excited to read this next novel. I would probably kill Jeff to get my hands on it if he wasn’t one of my fav writers. I want him to keep writing, so I’ll let him live and wait (im)patiently.

Yay! Thanks chick!

LOL yes, all those stars totally make things clearer… no… Sure, they did! x) I read all these books when they had their original covers, and even though they were still fun, I love these new ones so much better! They’re so sparkly and fairy-ish and fun and G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S gorgeous. I think that the cover for Fairyland has to be my favourite one yet! And I love that Ashley was the one to do the stunning typography! *hugs* <3
And this is an awesome giveaway too, Missie! The only reason I'm not entering is because I own the paperbacks… but everyone definitely SHOULD!

Thanks, everyone! So far, it looks like there are still 9 spots open in the flash giveaway, since only Jade doesn’t have the book.
Heather – Thank you! I see you figured out that ******** ** *** ******** ****!
Rhiannon – Thanks! No, killing me is not an effective way to get more books out of me. You would then only get whatever my reconstituted zombie could manage to write, and I have doubts about how well that would go…
Ashley – I agree, this might be my favorite!
Mimi – Thanks! I’m glad you like them even though your paperbacks won’t match…I think these definitely show the fun of the fairy world a lot better!
Giselle – Her hair was done in a special fairy spa, I think…
Smash – It’s very gold and glittery!

What a beautiful cover! My whole family (including my 74 year old father in law who usually only reads non-fiction WWII books) love this series! It’s fun to be able to talk about them at the dinner table (dinner couches?) My 7 and 11 year old only fight a little about them, lol! When is Fairyland coming out?
