My Book Boyfriend (5): Rhino
Aussie hottie, Ryan from Raw Blue by Kirsty Eagar is everyone’s best mate, that is probably why everyone owes him favors. Ryan’s the easy come, easy go surfer type, until he meet the one girl that gets under his skin. *le swoon*
Ryan’s stats:
Nicknames: Rhino, Ry
Age: 26
Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Grey with bits of gold
Occupation: Did some time for Dealing, but after serving his sentence, got a honest job in the mines.
“The air around him is snap frozen. He’s in his mid-twenties, his face so shut off and wary I wonder what’s happened to him. His skin is the sort that burns easily. The ridges of his ears are pink and freckled. They stick out a bit through his hair, which is light brown and lank. It’s scraggy, seventies style; he hasn’t had a cut for a while.”
Scene that killed me!
Later, when I’m going inside, Ryan calls me back.
“What?”
“Come here.”
“I want a drink.”
“No, come here.”
I go over to him. He’s still lying on his back.
“Sit down for a sec.” He pats the deck beside him with his hand. I sigh loudly and sit down with a thump. He takes my right hand and places it palm down on his chest. Then he traces around it with a pen, craning his neck to see, giving himself double chins.
“What are you doing?”
He shifts my hand away and starts scratching out letters over his skin. “I worked out a tattoo – if I had one.”
I look at what he’s done. He’s got the outline of my hand over his heart and in it he’s written, Her.
I want to tell him that he’s blown me away, but I think he knows.
A couple of weeks back, Nic from Irresistible Reads cast Taylor Kitsch as Ryan, which was a HAWT choice, but I’d like to offer actor Chris Lowell as a swoon worthy pick for Ryan. And I’d also like to let Linds and Nic know that my claws are out. That boy is mine!
