Last month, I participated in the FIVE challenge, which introduced me to so many new blogs. One blog I quickly became addicted to was Irresistible Reads, because Nic, the Aussie behind the blog, is simply irresistible. How the heck did it take me so long to find out about her awesomeness? In any case, I’m so thankful that I did.
I had so much fun reading Nic’s Five Challenge posts because each one lead me to something new! The girl knows her good books, but not only did she introduce me to many new-to-me authors, she is also hosting the Aussie YA Reading Challenge 2011, which I’m definitely participating in!
I know it is hard to pull yourself away from an irresistible read, but sometimes, Nic does. Let’s see why.
First of all thank you Missie for having me ((hugs)).
So I am meant to write what I do when I am not reading. Well, working is one thing that takes up a lot of my time. I wish I had a job where I could read all day. I actually work two jobs, both part-time though. Three days a week I work as an office manager at my husband’s business which is a garden supply store. Then two days a week I work as a childcare teacher looking after a beautiful but crazy bunch of children. I also am currently doing an accounting course part-time.

On the weekends I love spending time with my husband. We have been married nearly 3 years and he is awesome. We just love spending time at home, renovating our house and looking after our two dogs and our completely mad cat.
And I also love spending time with family and friends. My friends and I love going to the movies. We just recently went and saw ‘Love and Other Drugs‘ and I now have a new appreciation for Jake Gyllenhaal (if you have seen the movie you will know what I am talking about). We also like to spend time doing the usual shopping, chatting and eating too much chocolate.
Travelling is another thing that I love doing. I have been lucky enough to have been overseas a couple of times. Once backpacking with a friend in Europe. We went to Rome, Venice, London, Dublin and Paris. Paris was my favourite place. It was just beautiful. I have also been too Fiji and Thailand with my husband. Both were good but Thailand was so much fun. My favourite thing in both those countries to do was go snorkelling. I love spending all day in the ocean and exploring. We plan to go overseas again so I can’t wait!
Okay, that is the most gorgeous wedding picture ever, Nic! Love it. And wow! You have been to so many places. It must be wonderful to have had all those experiences. Also, who doesn’t love hanging out with girlfriends to swoon over Jake’s butt? It is pretty irresistible. Thanks for sharing what you are up to when you are not reading.

Gorgeous wedding pic! October Sky is still my fav Jake Gyllenhall movie.
I really want to go to Thailand. We're hoping to go to Vietnam in a few years and maybe Thailand too. I love Paris, London, and Dublin too – London is my fav although Paris is much calmer and more elegant.
We're going snorkeling in Grand Cayman next week. I'm excited.
