Review: Yule Be Mine
Yule Be Mine by Lori Foster![]()
Sparkling days, crackling fires, long steamy nights. . . Christmas is all about making memories. In four delicious tales of seduction and romance, New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster brings you all the pleasures of the season–and then some. . .
Booker Dean knows exactly what he wants for Christmas: his next-door neighbor, Frances Kennedy. And he’s got a gift planned for her that involves lots of delicious unwrapping.
Officer Parker Ross hates Christmas, while Lily Donaldson lives for it. But he’s willing to be converted, especially when Lily is the one doing the persuading.
Sergeant Osbourne Decker suspects pet psychic Marci Churchill is barking mad, but she’s also a knockout. And when she’s accused of stealing a donkey from the local nativity scene, he can’t stop thinking about frisking her.
Furious at her cheating fiancé, Beth Monroe decides to enjoy a payback tryst with his gorgeous best friend, and finds that revenge is best served hot and sweet. . .
Mini Review:
In this anthology of four short stories by Lori Foster, expect some long winter nights filled with heat that doesn’t come from the fireplace. *winks* (How is it that I’m totally capable of cracking myself up with my own corniness?)
The stories, He See You When You’re Sleeping, White Knight Christmas, Do You Hear What I Hear, and The Christmas Present all contained Fosters signature balance of tantalizing sexy times and off the wall, kooky humor.
Not really much else to say because Yule Be Mine wasn’t mind blowing but it wasn’t bad either. I was a bit surprised and almost disappointed to find that each short story was very similar. Boy secretly pines for girl, and she secretly pines back. Add in a lonely Christmas and sprinkle in some snow. Mix until confession of love is consistent. Bake at 360 for twenty minutes, then let cool until diamond engagement ring is ready to wear.
Fun stories to nibble on for the holidays. If you don’t have a chimney for Santa to come down, you can read this to keep warm. But it might put you on his naughty list. (LOL! Again, killing myself with my own corny!)
