Read the Printed Word!

Well, I’ve been pretty lazy about getting my reading challenge posts up for next year. There are quite a few I’d like to try. Let’s see how organized I can get things.

First up, not really an official reading challenge, but recently, one of my favorite authors, Jeaniene Frost, posted her Top 10 books. Sadly, I haven’t read a single book on her list. So as a personal challenge, I’m going to read those books because they all sound good. Here is the list:

  1. Skye O’Malley, by Bertrice Small
  2. The Bourne Identity, by Robert Ludlum
  3. Chances, by Jackie Collins
  4. The Other Side of Midnight, by Sidney Sheldon
  5. Gone With the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell
  6. The Far Pavilions, by M.M. Kaye
  7. Watchers, by Dean Koontz
  8. Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon
  9. Guilty Pleasures, by Laurell K Hamilton
  10. Wicked Lovely, by Melissa Marr

Here is a look at the other reading challenges I plan to sign up for. Official sign up posts coming soon. I promise.

YA of the 80s and 90s Reading Challenge
Men in Uniform Reading Challenge
Photobucket

And of course, the reading challenge I’m hosting:

I’m really happy with these choices for my reading challenges. I think they will provide me with a great mix of books, plus give me some focus.

What challenges will you be participating in? Am I missing any challenges of vital importance? Let me know.

Thank you for putting the button to my challenge up! (Dusty Volumes). I may be getting a Kindle so I'll be signing up for yours and I also want to do Book Chick City's Horror and Paranormal reading challenge. The Story Siren's Debut Author Challenge exposed me to a few books I've really liked too. I've also read quite a few of the books on Janiene Frost's list. My favorite is Dean Koontz Watchers.

2011 is going to be a fun one for you! I'm interested to see what you think of Outlander — I liked it but…

I'm super excited you are joining me for the 111 in '11! GWTW is amazing, I just read it this year. Watchers by DK is one of his best!

I really want to do a book challenge, but that would mean I'd have to reorganize my tbr (which I really need to do because it recently got screwed up! :P ). Maybe I'll get it organized and use your list to chose. Anything is possible. :D

Btw, I think you'll like Guilty Pleasures. Did you get Outlander when it was free? Would be perfect for your challenge. I loved that book when I read it. I have Wicked Lovely on my tbr. Can't wait.

Oh Yay, an audio book challenge! I'm entering this one right now. Thanks for sharing that.
I love Jeaniene Frosts faves. I've actually read a few of those when I was younger. Bertrice Small and Jackie Collins were my teenage favorites and have a home on my permanent bookshelf.
If I get any type of ereader for Christmas like I'm hoping, I'll also join your challenge as well.

oOOOO NEW FOLLOWER!

I hope you like Bertrice Small – the Skye O'Malley saga is great. I have read the first two books and many others by this author.

Also, I heart Laurell K Hamilton!

I have Melissa Marr on my TBR list for this coming year.

I absolutely agree with Jennie. Watchers is one of Koontz's best books. I've read it over and over. So amazing!
