Since it has been foooooorrrrrrrevah since I have entered a Remake a Cover contest, I thought it was time to give it a go-go.

As part of the Winterlong Random Magic Blog Tour, La Femme Readers is hosting a recreate a cover contest for Random Magic by Sasha Soren. You can check out the contest detail and other entries here

Original:

My Remake:

About the book: When absent-minded Professor Random misplaces the main character from Alice in Wonderland, young Henry Witherspoon must book-jump to fetch Alice before chaos theory kicks in and the world vanishes. Along the way he meets Winnie Flapjack, a wit-cracking doodle witch with nothing to her name but a magic feather and a plan. Such as it is. Henry and Winnie brave the Dark Queen, whatwolves, pirates, Struths, and fluttersmoths, Priscilla and Charybdis, obnoxiously cheerful vampires, Baron Samedi, a nine-dimensional cat, and one perpetually inebriated Muse to rescue Alice and save the world by tea time.

Missie! I'm so impressed with your cover design skills! I love the one you picked but I also really love the 3rd one with the red dress. Gorgeous!

I am a fan of the red dress, as well, but oh! Those pearls in the mouth – naughty! Loves!

I love your remake…it's naughty…just like Linds said hahaha I would enter, but I stand ZERO chance ;)

I love it! I will say that the one with the red dress really catches my eye, though. In a bookstore, I'd have to pick that one up just to see what it was all about. :)

Such a good choice for a cover remake contest, too. The original is a wee bit Pippi Longstocking.

Oooo– fabulous job, Missie! I love the 'layers' you used in your final entry. I agree with Galla about the red dress. It's definitely an eye catcher! Great job!

Thanks ladies, for the comments. I liked the red dress one, too, but since I downloaded the pic as a Comp and had to remove the watermarks, I didn't think the picture quality was good enough for a final entry.

Maybe I was wrong? Usually am. LOL

Great choice. I do like the remake. I think I do like your choice best. The red dress is an eye catcher, but your top choice shows more movement. :)

I really wish I could do that. I have no talent when it comes to doing stuff liek this. Great job Missie, they look great. Even your rejected ones.

I would never pick up the book based on the real cover, but would definitely want to know more about yours. Really great job!!
