five Great Series

Getting my list of five favorite series was particularly challenging for me because I still feel new(ish) to reading. What do I know?
Again, I’m gonna stick to series books I’ve read this year to help guide me because I don’t want to be tempted to say The Twilight Saga just to get off easy. LOL!
My Top Five Great Series of 2010:
Miranda’s teenage dreams came crashing down when a meteor pushed the moon off its axis and brought it closer to earth’s hemisphere. Only a few survive and life as she knew it will never be the same. In this series, Pfeffer delivered unique storytelling that offers hope and heartfelt romance even under the most dire circumstances. Loved it.
Holy swoon! Los hermanos Fuentes son muy calientes. Y ahora que el hermano menor, Luis, es todo lo criado, las historias de amor prohibido continuar. Aye papi, con papitas! In other words, I FREAKING LOVE THESE BOOKS!
The magic filled world that Julie Kagawa created for the Iron Fey series is my favorite to get lost in, but only if I have a smart cat or hawt Winter Prince to guide me (I wouldn’t dare venture in by myself).
All across the world, people were asking just one question: Team Peeta or Team Gale? In the middle of it all was a brave young woman, Katniss who proved without trying that justice would be had. This fight for freedom (and food) was gripping from start to finish.
I know, I know. Not really YA. More Urban Fantasy/ Paranormal Romance. But really, the books are pretty tame on the sexy times, so I don’t see why they couldn’t be considered YAish. Maybe it is because Sookie is in her 20s? Regardless, this long standing series is really one of my favs of all time. It’s got this perfect blend of southern comfort, kooky humor, and puzzling mysteries, plus there is one helluva swexy Viking vampire. *DED*

Missie, you have picked fabulous series! I need to read the Perfect Chemistry books, I think I'm missing out by not being in the loop on those. And I just finished the Iron Queen and loved it, so that is one of my favorite series as well. So glad we're getting a fourth book in that one!

I just got Life as We Knew It at a library sale for a buck, so I'm looking forward to finding the time to read it. I also have to find the time to read The Hunger Games. So many great books out there that I haven't read! Great picks!
