2011 Reading Challenges sign ups
Even thought I often fail at Reading Challenges, I love signing up for them. I blame the buttons. I’m a sucker for cute buttons. So here is the huge, probably unrealistic, lists of challenges I plan to participate in for 2011. I committed myself to the lowest level in most. Gotta have goals.
Note to Challenge Hosts: *gets on hands and knees to beg*

Hooboy! That's a lot of challenges!
One book I don't see on the list that you might want to consider for your old-school YA challenge: Silver Metal Lover (orig 1981). This is robot lit before cyborgs hit the scene, lol! Holy crap, they still record audio on tape.
Reading this one feels kind of like stepping into a vintage Twilight Zone episode, especially at first. The heroine doesn't become especially admirable until the halfway point. That said, this is a simple-but-moving love story, and the writing is gorgeous.

Woohoo! Best of luck with your challenges
I am taking part in 11 this year! I am pretty sure that I will fail most of them but it's fun to participate.

You are going to be busy! But I think you can do it. Some of them should overlap.

I really need to organize so I can do at least one of these.
*sigh*
I think that was wishful thinking.
Great list, tho!

You did it! Whew, I'm glad to see another person signing up for a whole bunch of challenges. I just can't stop myself! We may both fail miserably, but it's fun signing up!
I read a whole bunch of fairy tale retellings last year if you want any recommendations. I also did a few spotlight posts on fairy tale retellings and plan on doing more.

I've only signed up for four challenges this year. We have two in common: “YA of the 80s and 90s” and “Retold Fairy Tales”. =)
