I’m so freaking excited to have Rachel from Parajunkee’s View featured today on When I’m not Reading because when I first started book blogging her site was one of my main sources of inspiration. In fact, every time I had a bloggy question, I would e-mail her, and she would always reply with a nice, helpful answer! Plus, when I was completely clueless about html coding, I could always check out her design site for awesome step by step tutorials. Really, she is a god sent angel for book bloggers! And I still feel totally grateful to her, especially since she continues to answer all my questions with her Book Blogging 101 posts.
So, Missie, let’s stop gushing like a totally dorky fangirl and check out what Rachel is up to when she is not reading:

When I’m not reading.
Such a broad question. I wish it were sleeping, but that seems to be not that much lately. When I’m not reading, I’m either attending to my 3 year old little girl or my other child…the husband.
I’m always on the computer. Work, home…even driving. Well not me driving, but if someone else is driving. My whole life revolves around these fancy little machines. I’m in Marketing professionally, focusing in graphic design, social media and search engine optimization. I sometimes get paid to tweet…other times I get paid to make things pretty. Most of the time I get paid to just get things done. Corporate life.
Between the 40+ hour a week job, the precious little girl and the married life, I do manage to read 4 books a week, blog every day – on two blogs {parajunkee.com & blogwithbite.com} and sometimes I cook dinner. Most of the time I heat up dinner. Hobbies besides blogging/reading – can you guess it? Has to do with computers.
Yeah, computers games. I’m a total dork.
My DVR list includes, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Smallville, Glee and Eureka. My current playlist includes, Florence + The Machine, Metric, Kerlis, MGMT, Korn and I think I’m going to buy The Vampire Diaries Soundtrack.

Thank you PJ for sharing with us! I wish I had at least half the motivation to do all the things you do. Life would be so much easier if I did.

Graphic design, corporate life, family, and blogging. The question should be when do you find time to sleep?

I don't know where I'd be with out Rachel either!! I wish I had a quarter of her talent!!

How awesome! Graphic design is time consuming and take lots of imagination. I've seen her sights and they are wonderful. My husband also does graphic design, I've seen the patience they have to had to sit for hours just staring at the computer designing. So I appreciate you graphic designers a whole lot more.
