I almost fell out of my chair when I heard back from Angela of Dark Faerie Tales saying she would be willing to do a post for my When I’m Not Reading feature. I love her book blog, which introduced me to some great Urban Fantasy books. Aside from hosting reading challenges, interviewing authors and giving away all kinds of goodies, Angela also runs Book It Forward ARC Tours. It is because of her that I have had the opportunity to read a lot of great upcoming novels. So yeah, I kind of love her! Let’s see what Angela is up to when she is not reading.

When I’m not reading…
I’m a corporate drone at a mega size law firm. I work long hours, travel for work, and even attend trials. I generally only sleep about five hours a night. This grind can be soul crushing sometimes – okay, most of the time.

My general hobbies include the following: I enjoy spending time blogging and working on writing reviews. I’m always up for changing my exercise routine, so I alternate between hiking, roller blading, running, biking, tennis, and rowing. I like going to basketball games and concerts at Madison Square Garden. No, I’m not a Knicks fan. I also try to attend Broadway at least twice a year.

My boyfriend and I are avid movie lovers. We go to the movies at least twice a week. If there isn’t anything on the big screen worth seeing, we turn to Xbox Live, Netflix, or the PS3 Sony Marketplace to get access to other great movies. When we aren’t watching movies, we play video games on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or the Wii. Some of our favorite video games are: Resident Evil 4 & 5, Gears of War, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance, Bio Shock, and Dead Space.

Another major source of entertainment: Tivo, of course! My Tivo is jam packed with all of my favorite shows such as: Spartacus Blood and Sand, Dexter, The Walking Dead, True Blood, Sons of Anarchy, Justified, Dark Blue, The Closer, Damages, Smallville, Stargate Universe, Castle, Bones, Boardwalk Empire, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries.

Getting together with friends for game night is also a lot of fun. Scrabble, Ticket to Ride, The Settlers of Catan, and Trivial Pursuit are just some of the games we love to play.
