One word: Awesomepocalypse! aka Follow Friday
I’m always super happy when it is Friday. And not just because it means the weekend is around the corner, but because it also means I get check out some new blogs with FF! So thanks for visiting me today. Please leave a link back to your site so I can crash you pad, too.

What is your usual monthly book budget?
I’d say about the same as PJ. $50 a month, though I usually blow it.

If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?
Yes. Always. I can’t even think about reading a book out of sequence. I’d always have it in the back of my mind that I’m missing something and I wouldn’t enjoy the book at all.

Hello Missie! I always start with the first title. As far as my budget goes…well you know I have a disorder. So what budget??? LOL. As long as my bills get paid first, the rest is fair game! And the bookstore better watch out! Have a great weekend

Happy Friday, Missie! I'm afraid I don't have a book budget haha I can't contain my insatiable reading appetite, so I buy more books than food

I can dive right into the middle of a book series if the series' story
doesn't run chronologically.
That is to say, if each novel in a series is a stand-alone story (like Lee
Child's Reacher novels) then I don't feel the need to start with book one.
On the other hand, a series of books (like Richard Hatch's Battlestar
Galactica novels) can't be read out of sequence since each new book builds
upon the story of the previous entry in the series.

I think that you get a better understanding of the whole picture when you read a series from the beginning as opposed to reading it out of order. I'm a big believer of reading material as it was intended which in this case would be in order.
