Today on my weekly feature, When I’m not Reading, I’ve got Kelli from I’d So Rather Be Reading! As the title of the blog she runs with Natalie indicates, it is hard to not find her reading, but luckily for me, she did have a little bit to share. Check it out:

Id So Rather Be Reading

When I’m not reading, I’m shopping, and I’m doing major damage to my budget!  I have a clothes budget for every month and most months I go over…my husband has totally given up on me.  I do a lot of my shopping online now.  My favorite stores are Ann Taylor Loft, The Limited, and now that I’m pregnant, A Pea in the Pod as well as Nordstrom Maternity.

At least once a week, I get a package in the mail.  It feels like Christmas when my boxes come in!  I’m on a first name basis with my UPS driver (he probably secretly hates my guts).

But, the downside to all that online shopping is that when you get too many orders in your extra bedroom starts looking like this:

And your “reject” pile looks like this:

And your husband looks like this:

That’s not really my husband but that’s what he feels like sometimes.  That’s why I try to hide my obsession…sometimes I’m more successful than others!

I think this is a wonderful idea. I read all the time, but I do lots of other things as well. I'm a big believer in multi-tasking so I usually try to read while doing other things as well. I have three different blogs going – two book related. I hope you'll check them out.

Oh and I get in trouble for going over my budget, too – usually on craft supplies. Kelli – do you send your rejects back?

I'm with bookwoman… I just spent too much on crafts. I will be giving some away for Christmas… so that's okay, right?

Love the visuals. Made me laugh. :)

O wow! I had no idea! While I don't have a shopping problem, I do LOVE online shopping over store shopping. Great post!

Wow, that's a lot of clothes shopping! I'm the complete opposite; I hate shopping, especially when it comes to clothes and shoes.

I have my hubby good and trained. All he cares about is if I stick to my budget. When I got pregnant, all bets were off and he just wants me to be happy: hence the shopping spree(s)!
