Crushing on Archer Cross: 101
I think Jenna, the only vampire student at Hex Hall, says it best when she gives Sophie the deets about Archer. Jenna said:
“Archer Cross, resident bad boy and total heartthrob. Warlock. Every girl here is at least, like, half in love with him. Crushing on Archer Cross might as well be a class.”
Sophie meets Archer on her first day at Hex Hall, and luckily for her, he actually saves her from almost being attacked by a ‘Bad Dog’. At this, Sophie describes him as not that hot (Jenna describes him as smokin’ hot, and she is not even into guys) and slender with black (actually dark brown) curly hair.
- In HH Book 1, Archer is 17 years old, he came to HH when he was fourteen.
- His family is wealthy.
- He has deep dark brown eyes and is athletic, can even make the ugly HH uniforms look good!
- He was once betrothed.
- When Holly, his betrothed, died he left HH for a period of time; some say it was to go through the Removal, but he does still have his powers.
“Well, apparently he didn’t go through the Removal. He’s still got powers.”
“Yeah, powers over your pants,” Jenna said with a giggle.
Archer is a popular guy with a wicked sense of humor. And although he is dating the Queen B, Elodie, he has a strong character and is able to form his own opinions about people. Because of this, he quickly comes to Sophie’s defense several times, which she neglects/struggles to appreciate.
After developing a pretty solid friendship, Archer and Sophie share a hella hot kiss during Cellar duty! But… Eke! Archer is hiding a secret, or at least he was!
I bet you are all kinds of curious about Archer Cross now, right? Like what does the Eye mean? Is he really a bad guy, as in evil bad? The only way to find out more is to read, Hex Hall (if you haven’t already)! I can’t wait to read book two, in which we are promised more Archer! *le sigh*
Needless to say, Crushing on Archer is be BEST class ever! Give me homework, study hall, defense, and cellar duty all with Archer, or about Archer, and I’d be an A+ student.
Okay, so who would you cast as Archer Cross?
I liked Cal more than Archer, but the guy have up there is yummy.

I thought about Cal, too! And, I was totally waiting for it to be revealed that he was Sophie's betrothed or something. But we didn't get as much of Cal, so I was curious, but it was Archer that made me swoon!
It would be interesting to see more of Cal!
