Soul Crossed Lover: William Maddox
Book Spoiler Warning!
In Seers of Light by Jennifer DeLucy, our first description of William David Maddox is very vague. In fact, when we first met him, we only know that Lily is distracted by a tall, dark-haired man with mossy colored eyes, who is slightly gangly and very pale. Albeit, it’s not much to go on, but later Lily says, “William had joined us. He looked utterly handsome, pressed against the wood frame, his arms crossed.”
From the beginning, Lily knew William was different, but she could exactly place why? Of course, he always seems to have a small, amusing smile playing on his lips, which just draws you in!
Like Lily, I first had a few doubts about William, but they were quickly abolished as I found myself feeling more and more captivated by him, even thought I still knew very little about him. Who doesn’t love a mysterious man!
Unfortunately, I have Seers of Light on Kindle, so it’s not as easy for me to flip through William specific pages as I would like and mark them up with hearts. I did manage to highlight and bookmark a new interesting facts about William.

It is Anna who reveals to Lily what William’s true nature is. And what is he exactly… Vampire. But one with a soul! As expected, as soon as I read that, my heart yearned for William. According to my Kindle search, William’s name is mentioned 738 times in Seers of Light. And if you ask me…that is simply not enough!
All about William:
* William’s parents were Cora and Andrew
* Born in Scotland, he moved to America when he was six months old!
* William grew up in Arizona
* He was a Sentient before he was turned Vampire
* He was 29 years old when he was turned, and has been vampire for 33 years
* He lived as a vampire for a while before seeking Abram for help
* Abram returned William’s soul, and when it was restored, William begged to die. (pull at my heart strings why dontcha ya)
* William’s endowment is the power to heal!
* He is incredibly patient!
* William can eat food, but he doesn’t enjoy it.
Okay, am I missing anything? Or do you love William, too? More importantly, who would you cast as William? And how does my pick suit you?
Leave a comment and tell me about it!
Also, I took this quiz over on Jen DeLucy’s website and guess who was my first match! *squees*
